Carla & Scott’s Cotswolds Wedding: Popcorn, Prosecco, and a Harvester Ride!

A bride and groom share a tender kiss in a lush garden setting. Surrounded by tall greenery and wildflowers, the moment feels intimate and natural. The bride, dressed in a flowing white gown, holds a small bouquet, while the groom, wearing a grey suit, gently embraces her. The backdrop of trees and blooming daisies adds to the relaxed, romantic atmosphere of this Cotswolds wedding scene.

Carla and Scott tied the knot at St Marys Church in Bishopstone just 100 yards from Scott’s parents’ house —so no excuse for being late to this one!

After the “I do’s” were exchanged and the confetti was thrown, we headed outside for a drinks reception of popcorn and Prosecco. (I reckon that’s a combo we can all get behind!) While the guests were munching away and soaking up the sunshine, I grabbed Carla and Scott for some portraits.

Scott, being a John Deere man, managed to pull some strings and score a harvester and a tractor for their wedding transport. Yep, you read that right—forget the Rolls Royce, these two rolled up to Shrivenham Memorial Hall on a bloomin tractor! And let me tell you, there’s nothing quite like seeing a bride in her wedding dress hoisting herself onto a harvester. Gold star for style points.

At the reception, the fun just didn’t stop. The hall had garden games galore to keep everyone entertained, a pizza van serving up cheesy goodness, and the coolest VW camper van bar. The vibe was so laid-back, with everyone enjoying the sunshine, laughter, and lots of pizza. And speaking of food, Carla’s mum had outdone herself with a beautiful buffet that perfectly complemented the pizza, and to top it off, she even made the wedding cake. Talk about talent!

Carla and Scott are proper vintage VW enthusiasts, so instead of a guestbook, they had a car bonnet for people to sign. Everyone scribbled down their well wishes, and the plan is to hang it up in their home—a brilliant reminder of the day. I love it when couples throw in unique touches like that. It’s what makes a wedding truly them.

Honestly, it was just one of those perfect, joy-filled days where everything came together beautifully.
